There is always something to do in Saint-Omer: the book festival!
Exquisite words is the first book festival organized in Saint-Omer, Arques, Longuenesse and Éperlecques from October 15 to 23. A kaleidoscope of genres that should allow us to explore literature, whatever it may be.

Friday evening, committed tribute to the working culture by the actor Jacques Bonnaffé, originally from Douai, who for many years, brings on stage the popular poetry of Nord-Pas-de-Calais (poems and stories in Picardy patois or stories of Cafougnette ... etc). He joins forces with the rapper Virus, accustomed to sometimes chanting sometimes rapping texts of cursed, misunderstood or forgotten poets, from the " underworld".
And on Sunday morning, a musical and poetic rendezvous with the Arcadis Trio (piano, violin, cello), which explores Vienna 1900 and celebrates Brahms, the legacy of Wagner and popular folklore, at that time when the sacred union of the arts led poetry to become one with music.
